Here’s a fun fact about how I do sessions. For about 90% of shoots, I do not scout out the location to pre-plan the spots I want to shoot at. I enjoy just showing up to a location (especially one I’ve never been to before).

For me, it keeps me on my toes. It forces me to think up things on the spot. It gives me room to explore and also allows moments to happen organically.

And that’s what exactly happened a few days ago for Jessica and Ian’s Brenham, TX engagement session. Jessica chose to do their session there after searching Google maps. We all drove 2 hours to get to this small town and didn’t know what it was all going to look like. Needless to say, we were really happy with it all.
